The dynamic environment requires individuals with competent organizational skills, sound analytical ability, the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and the ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently. PROJECT SUMMARY The Production Planning Project is a multi-year project aimed at reducing risk and creating new methods of conducting Supply Chain Production Planning processes. The Project was initiated to improve efficiency in the ordering process, workload allocation and capacity optimization. The Production Planning team is responsible for implementing improved forecasting and capacity maximization methods. The new system will mitigate error in forecasts seen in the current state by utilizing automated software instead of traditional methods of manually determining the weekly production plan. The collaborative efforts of the Production Planning team will result in a nation wide restructuring of the current Production Planning process. As of January 2009, the Project will be in the Design phase.
