In English you say “What time is it?” When you want to know the time. En inglés se dice “¿Qué tiempo es?” Cuando quieres saber la hora. In Spanish you say “What hour is it?” En Español se dice “¿Que hora es?”

What time is it? ¿Qué hora es?

It is one. Es la una.

What time is it? ¿Qué hora es?

It is three. Son las tres.
