What Does the ILO Do? Coordinate commercialization process - Build relationships with U of S researchers, industry & government - Evaluate new inventions for commercial potential - Coordinate the intellectual property (IP) protection process - Educate university community on IP/commercialization - Invest in patenting, initial prototyping & marketing activities - Negotiate commercialization agreements with industry - Operate start-up company program
