SO, WHAT IS THE URANTIA BOOK ? SIMPLY, THE URANTIA BOOK IS A REVELATION. CLAIMING TO BE THE FIFTH EPOCHAL REVELATION TO THIS PLANET EARTH (URANTIA).

The URANTIA Book is a 2097 page volume comprised of 196 distinct chapters (papers) that describe God, the universe, various orders of personalities that inhabit and administer creation, the history of URANTIA (Earth) including some of the unique problems that have beset it, various historical figures and the life, teachings, and mission of Jesus of Nazareth.

When & where did it happen? The URANTIA PAPERS appeared between 1911 and 1935 in Chicago. The URANTIA BOOK was typeset and made ready for printing in the early 1940s and was published in 1955 by the URANTIA FOUNDATION.

Who wrote it ? The first thing people want to know is who wrote it ? The authority of the book is in itself. The authors of the individual papers, celestial beings of various orders, are identified within the text of the book. These self-identified authors describe a mandate requiring them to make use of extant human sources whenever possible, resorting to “pure revelation” only when these sources were clearly inadequate.

Does the book provide prophecies ? The revelation was not meant to provide unearned knowledge, but rather filled up many missing gaps in the human knowledge, past and present. Also, it provides an insight on soon to be discovered facts, some already came to pass since 1935 e.g. in Archaeology, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy, and Geology etc..
