TANKS Introduced in World War I, by World War II the tank had been fatally perfected The German Panther and Tiger tanks were the most effective, but the Sherman tank used by the Allies was sufficient when used with air support There was literally no defence against the tank
ARTILLERY These 25lb guns had to be pulled by trucks to the site Took 6 men to set up & 3 to operate Would fire at tanks or be aimed in the air to lob explosives into enemy lines Range of 11-16 km
