Fran Gillis worked 15 years with the Thompson Grocery Company. Fran was offered a job position at a National Drugstore company as vice president and regional manager. Requested a good friend and colleague, Ken to write a reference and keep it a secret she was looking at a new job. Another colleague, Jennifer Chung approached Fran with disturbing news of being sexually harassed at work by Ken.
A form of sexual harassment has been taken place within the Thompson Grocery Company’s chain Protect employees. Legal obligation as a supervisor to report the sexual harassment in the workplace. Possibility of this being untrue.
Fran is put in a dilemma where she must make a choice to be a faithful employee, or use this new information against Ken to her advantage.
Fran should do what is right for the employee, person being accused and for the company over and above her own needs and position.
This is the politically correct thing for her to do- follow the company rules and regulations to ensure that the work place meets standards.
If I were Fran I would do the politically and ethically correct thing
