Mining Industry Human Resources Counsel of Canada Predicts a shortage of 49% to 81% in the mining industry in Canada in the Professional, Skilled, and Trades occupation areas. This is mostly due to growth….. We are encouraging Nunavummiut to enter the trades, offering a wide variety trades training opportunities at the trades school as well as in the communities.

Trades and Technology Presently we offer apprenticeship training for : Electricians Levels I and II Oil Burner Mechanics Levels I and II Plumbers Levels I and II Housing Maintainers Levels I, II and III Carpenters I, II, III, and IV We also offer certificate training in Trades Access, Camp Cook and CARS Heavy Equipment Operator training is currently being developed.
