The Great Debate

 Which of you had stay at home parents?  Which of you had working parents?

 In your opinion, it is better to have a stay at home parent. (left side of room – windows)  In your opinion, you think parents should both work (right side of room – cupboards)  In your opinion, it doesn’t matter as to whether or not your parents stay home with their children (center of room)

 Advantages and Disadvantages to being a Stay At Home Parent

 You know who is watching your kids!  Consistency  No fear of losing a sitter (quitting)  Experience children’s “firsts”  Expense? $$$  No stress of working AND worrying about children

 Lonliness  Less $$$ in household  Worrying about continuing a career  Create tensions with partner (possibly)
