Outcome of Worksite Reps meeting – Sept 09 That this meeting of Worksite Representatives recommends to PSA Council that an “in principle” claim for Enterprise Bargaining be lodged which seeks a package outcome providing for: A universal pay increase, with the first payment from 1 October 2009 Job security Protection of existing conditions An initial “one off” cash payment Schedules to adjust special needs areas (eg Allied Health, Grant funded staff, CFS) Improved conditions, allowances & penalty payments Improved leave & professional development Endorsed by PSA Council EB 2009

Summary of outcomes A universal pay increase, with the first payment from 1 October 2009 Job security Protection of existing conditions An initial “one off” cash payment Schedules to adjust special needs areas (eg Allied Health, Grant funded staff, CFS) Improved conditions, allowances & penalty payments Improved leave & professional development EB 2009

Outcome Details: Universal 2.5% pa 1 October 2009, 2010, 2011 $600 one off payment Job Security Current conditions protected Life of Agreement 2.5 years Improvements to conditions Flexitime hours not lost if management cannot release staff

EB 2009 Universal outcomes (cont’d) Improvements to conditions : details 50% penalty if required to work without meal break Maternity Leave to 16 weeks, then 18 weeks after 1 year if over 5 years employment; can share with partner if both employees under EA Night shift penalty increased from 15% to 20.5% On call rates almost doubled Overtime payment cap lifted to top ASO6 equivalent Professional Development & Training improved

EB 2009 Improvements for specified areas Allied Health Professionals (AHP) New AHP structure, separate from Pos, with effect from IRC certification of EA Classifications listed in AHP structure employed in other Agencies move to new structure/pay rates (eg Social Workers, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists)

EB 2009 Improvements for specified areas Allied Health Professionals (AHP) cont’d Key features new structure: Former PO1 & PO2 joined into new AHP1-2, with peer assessment barrier to progress through range. Salary translation to next increment level. Maximum of range becomes the base of the next level. New Work Level definitions.
