6. Legal Secretary A legal secretary works very closely with the lawyer.

7. Australian or Victorian Public Servant If you study hard and your English is good, you can work for the government, especially in MULTICULTURAL AFFAIRS.

8. Keyboard Operator/word processor for Law Companies Take the time to learn to TYPE. This skill can get you many good jobs.

11. Welfare/Community Worker The people in your community need a lot of help to understand Australia’s laws. You can get a job that will help them.

HOWEVER, if you are a new arrival to Australia and speak more than one language, it is often easier to study for jobs like PROBATION OFFICER. These are the most important things you need to do before you start. Study English Language at Language School, Secondary School, AMES or TAFE Complete Certificate 4 in English (or equivalent/similar) at TAFE Ask your TAFE College about what you should do next. A University degree is not always necessary.
