safe business is good business Workplace Advisory Program Assist SMB’s with practical advice around management of workplace health & safety, WC and injury management issues Governed by an agreed Protocol between BAU & Inspectorate

safe business is good business Workplace Advisory Program Model Free advisory visit BAO’s do not have enforcement powers Visit must be initiated by SMB operator Workplace Advisory Visit Report issued at completion of visit SMB encouraged to develop action plan Follow-up visit if required – limit of three Explore potential incentives for SMB

safe business is good business Workplace Advisory Program Referral to Inspectorate If the SMB operator fails to: eliminate or control identified serious risks and/or hazards (or an imminent danger) action not taken within the agreed timeframe or SMB refuses the BAO to gain access to the workplace for a follow up visit
