Taking of Kicks From the Penalty Mark Alex Spiroski 2011

Taking of Kicks From the Penalty Mark  After the break make sure that both teams have equal number of players before you proceed. If a team needs to reduce the number of players the captain of the team needs to let the referee know which player will not be taking part before the kicks commence.  The only players to be on the field of play are the ones that finished the game and they must be within the Centre Circle with the exemption of both goal keepers.

Taking of Kicks From the Penalty Mark  Do not allow the coaches, managers, physio and substitutes on the field of play once the break is over.  The Referee Chooses which end/goals will be used.  Referee tosses the coin. The winner of the toss decides which kick to take, the first or the second kick.

Taking of Kicks From the Penalty Mark  Identify the first five players from each team in order from 1 to 5.  Separate both teams within the centre circle and make sure that there is a large clear gap between both teams.  The Assistant referee to stand in between both teams.

Taking of Kicks From the Penalty Mark  All match officials should keep a record.  The teams will take 5 kicks each– alternatively.  If at the end of the five kicks a team has scored more goals then the other team can i.e. If one team has taken a 3-0 lead in the first 5 kicks and both teams have taken equal kicks) then the kicks are discontinued and a winner is declared.

Taking of Kicks From the Penalty Mark  If after taking both teams have taken 5 kicks the result is still even then we go in to a sudden death. The kicks are to continue one kick at a time alternatively.  The team that fails to score after both teams have taken equal number of shots is the loser of the match and the kicks are discontinued.
