Where have we been? Current NCVER research priorities Growing the labour supply Motivating individuals to participate in VET Sustaining a skills base through apprenticeships and traineeships Enhancing the productive capacity of enterprises Enabling VET providers to compete effectively

Current NCVER research activity Four leading research centres (Melbourne University, University of Sydney, ANU and UNISA) are addressing 3 of 5 priorities Open tenders Commissioned research Priority 5 attracted little interest through tenders – NCVER commissioned 6 essays on the topic Longitudinal Survey of Australian Youth (LSAY)
