3 Creating a new Profile/login

4 SPIN and SMARTS search the same database and offer similar ways to filter the data. The interfaces for the two systems are slightly different.

6 Selection of keywords is the main way to identify discipline specific funding opportunities Multiple keywords can be included

7 Opportunities are categorised by a large number of funding types. Often it will be preferable to leave this blank so that all options are searched.

8 Generally you will want select ‘no restrictions’ and ‘Victoria’

9 Usual selections will be ‘Any/no restrictions’ and ‘Australian Institution’
