A few points to note: To enable CDC on a database you MUST be a member of SysAdmin To enable CDC on a table you need to be a member of the db_Owner role SQL Agent MUST be running! Default is 3 days retention! CDC Namespace : SQL now needs it! You can’t use it Changes to the Structure of your database – requires recreation of new capture instance
