Campus Housing The housing at UC Davis is set up in four types of housing which are residence halls, single student apartment, campus apartments, and cooperatives. One type of housing may be more suitable for some students than others.  Residence halls are primarily offered to freshman, who usually have a spot saved for them in the halls. The residence halls contracts include things such as dining commons meal plans.The residence halls do not have kitchens.  Single student apartments are only available to transfer students. Single student apartment are a collection of apartment units.  Campus apartments are available to a variety of UC Davis students. The campus apartments do offer a private kitchen and bathrooms.  Cooperatives are small,student-operated living communities which are self-reliant.
