Energy is said to be the ability to do work. That means the ability to make something happen. By “happen” it means to make things move or change condition.
 Is the ability to cause changes in matter.  Energy can transform, or change, from one form into another.  Energy is never used up.

Kinetic and Potential Energy have many forms. 1. Mechanical Energy - Energy associated with motion or position.
Forms of Energy. Nature of Energy Energy is the ability to do work. If an object or organism does work, then it uses energy. Work is the use of a force.

Energy and Matter. Energy Energy – the ability to do work or cause change. – Like matter, energy is never created or destroyed in chemical reactions.
Energy is said to be the ability to do work. That means the ability to make something happen. By “happen” it means to make things move or change condition.
Forms of energy Everything is either Matter OR energy.

7 Forms of By

Energy The ability to do work. “Work” means to make any change.

Mechanical Sound Electrical Nuclear Thermal Light Chemical

Mechanical Energy (Physical)

Mechanical Energy The energy of a moving object. A moving object can do work.

Sound Heat Action

Sound Energy The energy of vibrating objects sending waves through matter. A vibrating object can do work.

Electrical

Electrical Energy The energy of moving electrons. Moving electrons can do work.

Nuclear

Nuclear Energy The energy stored and released by changing the nucleus of an atom. You know that does serious work.

Thermal Energy The total energy of motion of the particles of an object. Heat can do work.

Radiant

There are three basic ways to excite an electron: Collide it with another atom Heat it up Bombard it with a photon of just the right energy (color).

Radiant Energy The energy released by excited electrons. Light and other radiation can do work.

Chemical

Chemical Energy

Gasoline

Chemical Energy Energy stored and released by chemical reactions. Combining atoms can do work.
