 Grade: Applies to any grade.  Price: Free  Location: App Store.  Description: Website for teachers to use to communicate with students.  Application: Teachers can post assignments, and discussion questions.

 Grade: Middle and High  Price: Free  Location: App Store  Description: Teacher creates the questions and shares the code with the students to answer the questions  Short answer questions, quizzes, multiple choice questions, space race, exit tickets  Multiple choice questions graded for you  Application: Use at the end of lessons to see what the class has learned and see what you need to work on the next day.

It combines presentation, collaboration, a real-time assessment tools into one integrated solution.  Application:  Create Content: Teachers log in to to create multimedia presentations with interactive features such as quizzes, videos, polls, drawing tools, and morewww.nearpod.com  Engage: In the classroom, teachers log into the Nearpod iPad app to share content with their students and manage the flow of the lecture. Students use the Nearpod app to receive curricular content, participate in activities and submit responses.  Assess: Teachers receive real time answers and can log into to retrieve assessment after sessions.

 Grade: All grades  Price: $1.99  Location: App Store  Description: Monitors and track student’s progress.  Application: You can use this app when students are explaining things to the teacher. You can also track student’s progress without students knowing your grading them.

 Grade: Applies to any grade.  Price: Free  Location: App Store  Description: This app allows you to build quizzes and assessments for your class to access.  Application: You can use it as formative or summative assessment.

 Grade: High School  Price: Free  Location: App Store  Description: Daily pictures of objects, and events from all over the world.  Application:  Have students reflect on the daily picture and then research the picture.

 Grade: Applies to any grade.  Price: Free (you have to buy videos)  Location: App Store  Description: This is a collaboration of videos explaining math concepts. It is aligned wit the Common Core.  Application: You could use this in centers and have students explain what they learned.

 Grade: Middle and High  Price: Free  Location: App Store  Description: Create mind maps, concept maps, and flow charts that turn into text outlines or vice versa.  Application: Students can jot down ideas for papers and idea sketch will turn it into an outline.

 Grade: Any Grade  Price: Free  Location: App Store  Description: This App allows you to practice math problems on your iPad.  Application: You can use this app to allow students to do math problems and share them with you and other students.

 Grade: Middle and High School  Price: $2.99  Location: App Store  Description: Creates comic strips using photos from your iPhoto Library, the camera on your phone, or pictures downloaded from the internet.  Application:  Students can document their science experiment as they go along  When the experiment is over, add text to explain what was happening.

 Grade: Applies to any grade.  Price: Free  Location: App Store  Description: This app lets students create skits, recording their voices with the sock puppets.  Application: You could use this in any content area to allow students to explain problems or content.

 Grade: Middle and High  Price: Free  Location: App Store  Description: Allows students to explore different places around the world.  Application: Take a virtual field trip of a place, then have students tell the who, what, where, when and why of the place they visited.

 Grade: Applies to any grade.  Price: Free  Location: App Store  Description: This app lets your students record ideas, explain concepts, and share them with you and other classmates.  Application: You could use this to collect student answers to questions.

 Grade: All grade levels  Price: Free  Location: App Store  Description: This app records memos, lists, and anything you want for seconds or hours.  Application:  Students narrate experiments or describe projects  Teachers record their comments for papers, projects, etc.

 Grade: Applies to any grade.  Price: Free  Location: Already installed  Description: The video and camera feature on the iPad can capture student work and be used in creating projects.  Application: Students can use iMovie to edit material and share it with you and the class.

 Grade: All grade levels  Price: $0.99  Location: App Store  Description: This app is an idea generator to inspire creative writing.  Application: Use during writing time to see how in depth students can go into topics that are randomly assigned to them.

 Grade: Applies to any grade.  Price: Free  Location: Already installed  Description: Students can use this feature to capture what is on the screen of their iPad.  Application: Students can send specific screen shots, about topics that are being discussed, to your for assessment (scavenger hunt).

 Grade Level: Middle and High  Price: Free  Location: App Store  Description: View and present Prezi presentations  Application:  Students can present their Prezi presentations to their neighbors and get feedback before presenting to the class.  Present to class on a subject they have been researching.
