In 1970 she was declared a Doctor of the Church for her writing and teaching on prayer, one of two women to be honored in this way.DiscalcedDoctor At 51, she felt it was time to spread her reform movement. She braved burning sun, ice and snow, thieves, and rat-infested inns to found more convents.time The other religious orders opposed her wherever she went. She often had to enter a town secretly in the middle of the night to avoid causing a riot. " May God protect me from gloomy saints," Teresa said, and that's how she ran her convent. How do YOU Create a Magazine Cover? 1.Collect information about the saint: Saint name; birth and death; why they are a saint-what they did; how they helped other people; and feast day. Information can be stored on a slide in PowerPoint, in the Notes section, or in Word. 2.Find a picture of the saint. 3.Decide on a magazine Title. 4.Open PowerPoint. (Click on Start>Programs>Microsoft Office>Microsoft Powerpoint 2007) Click on Layout and then Blank Slide. Click on Design Tab, Slide Orientation, Portrait. Then continue with step 5. 5.Insert the picture of the saint.
