Why should Hitler support the SA? And not the Germany Army

Why should Hitler not support the army? Army only had 100,000 men. Many generals in the army disliked Hitler and the Nazis. They regarded Hitler as a lowly corporal with stupid ideas Armies loyalty to Hitler was not proven, where as the SA loyalty had been…

Why should Hitler support the SA? SA had loyally fought for Hitler to help him to come to power against Communists. SA also fought in 1923 Munich Putsch for Hitler. SA was much larger than the army with 2.5 million men. Rohm was an old, dear friend; the Heydrich dossier sent to Hitler about Rohm was most likely manufactured evidence...

Hitler’s feelings for Rohm On the 1st of January 1934, Hitler wrote to the SA leader, Ernst Rohm: "I thank you my dearest Ernst Roehm, for the services which you have given to the National Socialist Movement and the German people, and to assure you how very grateful I am that I am able to call such men as you my friends and fellow fighters." "I thank you my dearest Ernst Roehm, for the services which you have given to the National Socialist Movement and the German people, and to assure you how very grateful I am that I am able to call such men as you my friends and fellow fighters."
