Creating the ‘Bubble-swing’ Brief Create a rotating fairground ride using a battery source
The Plans We decided to use the belt and pulley system, using a bubble theme
This is one of the bubble seats we designed for the ride.
The blue balls form the main column for our product. This needed to rotate freely. The yellow balls formed the body and head of our rubber ducky!
We successfully built and tested our electric motor system
This formed the base of our product, we designed it to hide the circuit while allowing easy access to the switch
Once our bubbles had dried, we glued them together, with a rod inside to hold the column in place and provide support. The challenge was to make sure the bubbles didn’t cause any friction!
Using a hot glue gun we secured our swing seats in place This was the final step before putting the product together
End design not in motion
This is our final product, the design was simple and effective, resulting in an attractive and successful ride!
