Opportunities Adequate funding Gives an opportunity to improve NS systems Presents good opportunity for harmonization of country implementation strategies Capacity building for staff and volunteers Available support from PMU (programmatic and finance) Sharing of experiences

Proposal Development NS to be clear on its areas of interest Preparations come with tight deadlines ( flexibility) Highly competitive environment NS needs to have accurate documentation ( profile areas of interest, audited statements) More staff members need to commit to the process

Programme implementation Organizational Assessment conducted before award is given Needs clear implementation strategy Don’t commit to targets that your NS is unable to deliver Requires proper documentation of all programme documents Monitoring plans needs to be clear at all levels Have clear reporting tools - data are externally verified at two levels (PMU and LFA) Adherence to reporting deadlines – not negotiable
