Have you read the instruction manual? Make sure that you have the correct bulb for your overhead projector.
Do you need a screwdriver? Are there any cautionary instructions on the machine?
Unplug the power cord from the wall unit.
Make sure that the power is in the “Off” position.
Where is the burnt-out bulb located inside the overhead projector?
With the screwdriver, remove the screws from the cover.
Locate the burnt-out bulb. Are there two bulbs? If so, you may just be able to slide the new bulb into position?
Find the metal bar on the right side of the bulb. Press down gently.
Remove the bulb noting the direction of the prongs in the back of the bulb.
While trying not to touch the new bulb as much as possible, gently slide it into position keeping in mind the direction of the prongs on the back of the bulb.
Is it directly behind the metal plate with the circular opening?
Is the metal bar back in its proper position?
Replace the cover.
Replace the screws verifying that they tighten correctly.
Plug the power cord back into the wall unit.
Turn the power switch back into the “On” position.
