Tollcross Primary Outdoor P.E Project

Survey pupils from our class went out to the canal and asked members of the public what they used the canal for… the majority of people said they use it for work but also to keep fit.

Planning and Sharing Ideas

The Idea we thought of an idea that would be beneficial and fun at the same time we designed a circuit containing 8 stations with 3 levels at each. the circuit is open to all ages and our aim is to get members of the public active as well as children and parents.

Making up the Exercises our wonderful P.E teacher Mr Divine helped us create exercise sequences to develop core skills in PE. each group worked on a different body part we designed a sequence of exercises at 3 different levels – level 1 to level 3

QR Code we bought 14 ipods using part of the £3000 grant from Education Scotland we used the ipods to design, make and scan QR codes you will need to scan the codes to get the activity instructions when you finish the circuit you can download and print a certificate of achievement from our school website.

What the QR codes look like…

We hope you enjoy using the Outdoor PE Route… here are some things to consider before we go !

Keep safe and have fun ! please take extra care near the edge of the canal follow the instructions of your group leader wait for the signal to start your activity and the signal to end and move to the next station stay with your group at all times have fun and let us know what you think please download a certificate from our school website once you have completed the course

To download a certificate and find out more please have a look at our school website and PE Project Blog.

Let’s Go ! your class teacher will give you a number, once you have your number go and join your group your group leaders will look after you, explain the activity and help you to find each station when we arrive at the canal go to your first station with your group leaders and wait for the signal to start
