Providing grants to support countries, as a catalyst with the hope that the demonstration effect will encourage governments to increase funding for statistics To make sustainable improvements in the production, availability and use of quality statistics, to increase capacity in policy formulation and decision-making for development. T HE P ROJECT : D EVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES (1/2) Nigeria - 5 pilots countries: Afghanistan, DRC, Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda -Phased project: - Phase I (current): focuses on 6 Pilot states (Anambra, Bauchi, Edo, Kaduna, Niger, Ondo), NBS and NPoPC. Total cost: $10m. Length: 3 years.
