Planning for Progression Using Flipped

The Rationale EVERY STUDENT EVERY OPPORTUNITY EVERY LESSON

So how does it work? Flipped homework e.g. Starting Point in lessons is further on – enables rapid progress 2 nd homework is diagnostic Next lesson is easily differentiated Links nicely to #SOLO taxonomy and allows for immediate differentiation of tasks

First Homework… Watch and go through the animation here…. online.com/Objects/ViewObject.aspx?ID=SCE304 to make notes in your book under the title H/W Heat Transferhttp:// online.com/Objects/ViewObject.aspx?ID=SCE304

So how does it work? Flipped homework e.g. Starting Point in lessons is further on – enables rapid progress 2 nd homework is diagnostic Next lesson is easily differentiated Links nicely to #SOLO taxonomy and allows for immediate differentiation of tasks

Following Lesson: Students worked in groups and used inter-thinking skills to solve the everlasting snowman problem -2 conversation tokens each -1 question token They then used what they’d discussed to explain some practical observations from demos This then linked to insulating a home to practice higher order skills Divergent Thinking

Then…

Student Voice “It was easier to do as there wasn't any sheet to loose and once its done I don't have to remember to bring it in or I cant loose it because theres nothing to loose!:)” “It was very easy for me to access this because I can also access it on my phone therefore I find this alot easier. It's more enjoyable and I am most likely to get my homework done this way! More homework should be set like this.”

This homework format was really accessible for me and I found it more enjoyable as the question types vary and I'm more likely to get it done as I use computers a lot. I wouldn't say it was easier but it did help with my knowledge and understanding of this topic. I found it better than a written worksheet I think it was easier and ore enjoyable to do it online I think that this format is better because its easier and more practical than a worksheet. It was better than doing a homework sheet and if I had a homework sheet then I would probably loose it. It was very easy to access this website for my homework and it was easier and more enjoyable than other types of homework. It was better and less boring and it also means that its more likely to get done. Yes it was more enjoyable, it was also easier, less boring and more likely to get done. It was really easy to access this and do my homework, it less boring because its different and I don't have to write it up. yes it was much easier to access and was less boring as it was quicker and easier to her done. It was quite easy, easy to work my round the site and clear,it was less boring and is more likely to get done via this site
