Strategies for the unit tests and AP exam

AP Test 100 multiple choice in 70 minutes 2 FRQs in 50 minutes Both the MC and FRQs will ask that you apply your own knowledge to analyze psychological information Must provide essential facts and definitions

Multiple choice Always has 5 choices Asks you to apply a psycholoical theory Ask you to find a wrong idea/group related concepts More likely to test subject content than history of psychology

FRQs Often a scenario to analyze May ask to apply psychological concepts to that scenario Describe steps in a given process The deeper the understanding of the concept the better

Advice for FRQs (in class and on AP test) Spend a few minutes pre-writing/drafting Stick to the topic (no opinions, no extra info that doesn’t help answer the question) Clear handwriting- make it easy for the reader
