The blitz was a period of time where the Germans bombed Britain. Many people were killed in the blitz and injured in it; many people died and homes where destroyed so that’s why people were evacuated from Britain. The blitz happened in 16 major cities in Britain Click here to go back

During the war 1/3 ofBritain's food was imported from country's overseas.lots of people didn’t grow there own food,so the government launched a schema to encourage people to grow there own food in there back gardens; parks were dug up to grow carrots and potatoes. shopping on the other hand made people have a fixed amount each week.
