Coming to School

Soon I will be coming to school Soon I will be coming to school. My school is called Shoal Bay Public School.

I will see my friends at school and make some new friends too.

I will have new teachers I will have new teachers. I will see Mrs Beck, Miss Asquith, Mrs Challen and Mrs Allwood at school and lots of other helpers too.

At school I will learn lots of new things At school I will learn lots of new things. I will learn how to read and write and count. But, not all on the first day of course!

When I come to school I have to follow the rules and listen carefully to my teacher.

I will eat my lunch in the playground with my friends.

At lunch time and recess I will play in the southern playground with my friends.

When I come to big school I will have to go to the girls or boys toilet.

If I am a boy I must learn how to use the urinal If I am a boy I must learn how to use the urinal. If I am a girl I must learn how to lock the door. I always wash my hands after going to the toilet.

Sometimes I will visit the library Sometimes I will visit the library. I will see Mrs Swartz and borrow a book to take home to read with mum or dad.

At school I will go to the computer lab At school I will go to the computer lab. I will do lots of fun activities and games there.

Sometimes I can order my lunch from the canteen or get a yummy treat to have at lunchtime.

This is the northern playground. This is where the big kids play.

Sometimes I may not feel well when I am at school Sometimes I may not feel well when I am at school. I will go the sick bay and mum or dad will come and get me.

This is the school office This is the school office. The ladies in the office help to look after the children and teachers.

At school I will play and learn and have fun.

I can’t wait to come to big school.
