Stage 6 Textiles & Design This exciting, creative subject offers students the opportunity to develop their talents in designing and creating clothing, costumes, home furnishings, textile arts and accessories while studying a Category A subject which contributes to an ATAR score.

Stage 6 Food Technology Students studying this subject will be given the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in Food Technology as well learning about the Marketplace and Nutrition. Food Technology aims to develop an understanding about food systems and skills that enable you to make informed decisions and carry out responsible actions. Students will also develop an appreciation of the importance of food to the wellbeing of the individual and to the social and economic future of Australia.

Stage 6 Exploring Early Childhood This course covers a interactive approach to child care. Children and childhood are examined from a multidisciplinary perspective and students have opportunities to link theory and practice. This course is practically based and allows the students to enjoy a variety of experiences with young children. Students will be able to interact with young children as well as engage in a variety of practical activities which will enable them to produce a valuable resource in the form of a journal. This may be used to present to employers for those wishing to enter into the field of Childcare.

Stage 6 Hospitality The Hospitality Curriculum Framework is designed to enable you to gain a range of technical, practical, personal and organisational skills valued both within and beyond the workplace. You will gain knowledge and skills related to work, employment and further training within the hospitality industry. Through the study of this subject, you will gain experiences that can be applied to a range of contexts, including work, study and leisure and that will assist you to make informed career choices. Hospitality can be studied as a 2 Unit class in yr 11 and 12 or 4 Unit class in yr 11.
