Real World Placement Program The RWPP is an exciting new initiative for QUT students looking to enhance their personal and career development through volunteering and short-term work experience opportunities. The program not only offers a variety of not-for-credit placement opportunities within industry and volunteer sectors, it also provides access to specialised career development workshops and peer and professional networking opportunities. We will help you to build your brand, gain experience and get that competitive edge. So what are you waiting for?

C & E Job Club WHEN: Every Monday and Wednesday, 1pm-2pm WHERE: The C&E KG office, Level 4, C Block Bring a hard copy of your resume, cover letter, or any other job application documents, and sit down with a Career Counsellor (and any other students who come along!) to get feedback and work on creating a targeted application that will get you noticed!

QUT Career Mentor Scheme About the scheme: A great opportunity to link with your chosen industry. Gain the advice of a professional; and Start developing networks for your future career. Students and mentors are matched based on each parties interests, objectives and the mentors area of expertise. Requirements: You will need to be a 2 nd or 3 rd year Law student with a GPA above 4. Be able to commit (approx) one hour per fortnight to the mentoring relationship throughout the year. Attend a briefing session in order to be matched with a mentor. What is career development? lifelong process of growth knowing who you are + knowing about opportunities + making decisions involves multiple transitions: school to uni, uni to employment, position to position, role to role, career to career etc. knowing what you want and having the career management skills to make it happen
