Annual Measurable Objectives (AMOs) School Year Update

Changes from to The minimum size of a subgroup for AMO reporting will be 30. This is different from the previous minimum size of 40. Participation rate will continue to be included as a component of AMO reporting. However, there will now be consequences for not meeting a minimum 95% participation rate.

Goal The AMO targets were set with the goal to: Reduce the percentage of non-proficient students by one-half within six years (by ).

Example: Hispanic in Grades 3-8 Reading Baseline- % of Non-Proficient Students- approximately 40% Goal: Must reduce in half to 20% in 6 years Target- % of Non-Proficient Students- approximately 20%

Example: SWD in HS Math Baseline- % of Non-Proficient Students- approximately 50% Goal: Must reduce in half to 25% in 6 years Target- % of Non-Proficient Students- approximately 25%

Initial Analysis of the Data Are there new subgroups that will count at your school this year due to the change in the minimum subgroup size? Are there any subgroups who are “at risk” for meeting the AMO target in based on performance?

Example: Subgroup that may count: Asian 29 Subgroup at-risk for meeting the AMO Target in Reading: LEP 44.2; Target is 47.7 SWD 33.3; Target is 49.6

Table Talk What do you see in your data? What questions does this data bring up? What other data sources would help you answer these questions? What are your next steps with this data?
