Sixth Grade Won’t Really Hurt You!

Have you been stressed out all summer about starting middle school? Have you had bad dreams about not getting your locker open? Or had nightmares about getting stuffed in your locker?

Smile! You’ve come to the right place! Surviving 6 th grade is as easy as 1-2-3! Follow these easy tips to an awesome school year!

SOCIAL TIPS Make new friends, and keep old friends. Accept everyone for who they are. Respect yourself, classmates, and teachers.

Make wise choices. Be kind and helpful to all. Be a true friend. Avoid risky behaviors.

Academic Tips Bring your text, leisure book, assignment, and necessary supplies. Use your binder daily. Use your assignment notebook in each class. Ask questions if you don’t understand.

Have regular attendance. Come prepared to each class. Do your best work. Complete your assignments on time. Cooperate with your work-partner.

Healthy Tips Eat well balanced meals. Exercise regularly. Get enough sleep.

Know your counselor. Share your day with someone. It helps relieve stress. Join a club IN or OUT of school.
