Our Intent is to: explore the challenges we will face in building and operating a training system to produce 5 th generation pilots and address : what do we need to do to produce sufficient numbers of combat ready pilots in a cost and time effective manner? what are the required characteristics of the new training system? what are the HR implications of the future training system – trainee candidate pool, characteristics, numbers and quality? explore different ways of doing business to ensure that all appropriate options are considered when defining, contracting and delivering our next generation Defence Pilot Training System.
