Samanthas Performing Arts Centre By Sam

Why Create a Performing Arts Center? The reason that we need a Performing Arts Centre at Dio, is because we are a great arts school, but we dont have the facilities to develop and enhance that talent. Having a Performing Arts Centre at Dio would help Dio grow in Arts, so we can offer a better education, and more opportunities in the arts.

Where would it go? The Performing Arts Centre would go in- between the field and the Science block, the Coms and the chapel. In order to do this, we would have to get rid of the music block on the field.

The door is made up of panes of colored glass. That is why you can see inside part of the lobby. The Drama stage is 2 levels high, with an orchestra pit at the front of the stage. There are two sets of stairs leading up to the stage, making it easy for people to get up onto it, or get off it. There is a tech room in level2 that has a ½ see through wall to the stage. The tech people can look through the see-through side and see the actors on stage. There are three dressing rooms on level 1. They are separated by colored glass so that they can see through to the other dressing rooms. In the two drama classrooms on level 2, there is a stage so the students get the feel of being on stage and performing in front of an audience.
