What Businesses Need to Know About Becoming Work Sites for the Summer Youth Employment Program

The Summer Youth Employment Program provides training and work experience for low income youth ages helping them to attain the skills, training and attitudes needed to succeed in the work place.

There is no financial cost – wages are paid by the Office of Employment and Training through a grant. You will be helping to develop a well-trained work force. Orientation of youth to the world of work. Screening and placement of youth at work sites. Employment counselors are assigned to each youth and will make frequent visits to work sites to provide support.
