6.3 – DIVIDE FRACTIONS

Divide Fractions You can never divide fractions! You must change the division into a multiplication by changing the reciprocal of the fraction that is behind the multiplication sign.

Reducing Fractions You can also cross cancel or reduce the fractions after you change the division into a multiplication.

Simplifying Expressions: You can only cancel a binomial with the same binomial after you change the division into a multiplication.
