How to play… Divide the class into several teams. The game board consists of XXX numbered squares. Behind each square is a vocabulary word in the target language. Each vocabulary square has a matching square that contains either the equivalent expression in English, a response to the original square’s question, or a picture representing the vocabulary word. The first team will pick two squares by stating the numbers of those squares in the target language. The teacher will momentarily reveal what is beneath the two squares. If there is a match, the team earns a point and picks two new squares and play continues. If there is no match, play passes to the next team. Play continues until all of the squares have been revealed. The winning team is the one with the most points at the end of the game.
