The RR-TAG is input driven, and attendance varies depending on the topics of the documents being considered and meeting location. There were 13 liaison or informational documents received from three ITU-R Working Parties (WP) – WP1A, WP5A and WP5D. All of these liaisons/information documents are on the Mentor web site and show the author as being the appropriate ITU-R WP. There were two 802 responses to ITU-R at this meeting and others will be drafted and sent from either the September or November.
doc.: 18-14/0055 Submission July, 2014 Michael Lynch, MJ Lynch & Associates LLCSlide 3 ITU-R Items Approved in July There were 2 reply liaisons sent in response ( for WP5D and for WP5A. – deals with “VIEWS ON WIRELESSMAN-ADVANCED OOBE” – added data on technology that already existed in ITU-R Recommendation M.1450 into a new ITU-R Recommendation dealing with ITS reviewed the latest version of the ITU-R WP1A PDNR response to ITU-R Recommendation 236/1. WP1A, at their June meeting, took the IEEE 802 contribution ( ) as their basic text. WP1A has requested a review and response from 802 by 31 December. WP1A has indicated that they plan on completing the work on Question 236/1 at their June, 2015 meeting. The data in it is seen as useful for a WRC in deciding Smart Grid spectrum identification.
doc.: 18-14/0055 Submission July, 2014 Michael Lynch, MJ Lynch & Associates LLCSlide 4 ITU-R Items Approved in July took the decision not to participate in the September wireless interim to be held in Athens. This decision had nothing to do with the location but the inability of the core participants to attend. The meeting approved the chair convening conference calls to deal with regulatory matters that come up between Plenary sessions. The first call will be 30 days after the meeting closed on 18 July and will be bi-weekly after that. Web-x will be available.
