IEEE Region 5 & Publicy Policy Steve E. Watkins R5 Government Activities Chair

Government Activities Statement of Objectives To promote public policy involvement and awareness. To coordinate region participation in activities such as CVD and IEEE-USA activities. To be a liaison between Region 5 and IEEE-USA and between the sections and Region 5.

Government Activities Section Support Direct section leadership and members to IEEE-USA policy statements. IEEE-USA committee membership is welcome. Coordinate section participation in the Congressional Visits Days (CVD). Region provides some funding for participation. Provide information on WISE (student) and Congressional Fellowship programs.
