Session Objectives and Success Criteria Objective – Teachers will be able to use Wordle and Tagxedo to create visual displays of student writing samples. Success Criteria – I will be able to: access both websites and create a visual word display. change the word displays orientation, color, font, style, etc. to fit my needs/wants. find/think of one way I could use these websites with my students next year.
Sample of Student Work: Wordle A 6 th grade student shared poll results with their peers using Wordle. (Poll question was in regards to emotions about ‘moving-up’ to middle school.)

Your Turn with Wordle Go to website: Click on ‘Create’ your own.’ – Type in words (remember the more you type the same word the bigger it will be) or copy and paste in a document you already have on your computer (good for discussing theme). – Make adjustments: Language, Font, Layout, Color or Randomize Printing? – Print to OneNote, pdf, Smart Notebook
