History "Pen-style Personal Networking Gadget“- created in 2003 by Japanese technology company NEC. Its designer Tour Ichihash. P-ISM -First featured at the 2003 ITU Telecom world Exhibition held in Geneva, Switzerland.

Look closely and guess what they could be... Components of P-ISM (“Pen-style Personal Networking Gadget Package”).

Produces both the monitor as well as the keyboard Whole Set Is Connected To Internet Through Cellular Phone Function. Connected With A Wireless Technology.

“Pen-style P ersonal Networking Gadget P ackage”  P-ISM is a gadget package including five functions: CPU Pen CAMERA VIRTUAL KEYBOARD VISUAL OUTPUT APHONE

Block diagram of P - I SM

CPU Pen Also known as computing engine. Uses Dual Core processor Works with windows operating system.

Continued…. Directs the entire computer system. Operation of a CPU include 4 steps : Fetch Decode Execute Write back The performance or speed depends on Clock rate IPC IPS

Communication Pen Components of P-ISMs -connected with one another through short-range wireless technology. Connected through Tri-wireless modes like Blue tooth 802.11B/G Cellular phone function.

Continued…. Bluetooth -A secure way to connect and exchange information. Connected to internet through cellular phone function. Uses Wi -Fi technology. Exchange information with wireless connection

Output display LED projector-Monitor. Size -A4. Resolution capacity is1024*768 approx. More clarity and good picture.

Continued…. Projection technologies used are: CRT projector using cathode ray tubes. LCD projector using LCD light gates. LCoS projector using Liquid crystal on silicon. The types of LED display are: conventional (using discrete LEDs) . surface-mounted device (SMD) panels.

Virtual Keyboard Virtual laser keyboard is a new gadget. It emits laser on desk. Uses laser beam to generate full_size perfect keyboard.

Continued…. Features of virtual keyboard are: Sound Connection Intensity Timeouts Sensitivity Auto_repeat

Digital Camera Useful in video recording , video conferencing simply as a webcam. Connected with other devices. Portable. 360 degree visual communication device.

Continued…. Types of digital cameras Compacts digital camera Bridge camera Mirrorless interchangeable lens camera Resolution is limited by a image sensor

Battery Usually batteries are small in size and work for a long time. Battery life-6+. Normal use-2 weeks.

Merits Portable Feasible Ubiquitous computing is done Wi_Fi technology
