Global Warming speaks of the average increase in temperature on Earth which causes Earth’s climate to change.

What Causes Global Warming? Global Warming is caused by the excess amount of Greenhouse Gases ( gases that trap the suns heat in to the atmosphere especially Carbon dioxide CO 2 ) that people put into the atmosphere By deforestation (cutting down of trees that take in CO 2 ) By Burning Things (like oil, gas, natural gas, and wood.)

The previous graph shows the tons of carbon waste that is put into the atmosphere by country. In the Years 1990 to the estimated amount in You can see that the number of tons increased dramatically. What can be done to fix this?

The last picture you just saw showed a cloud of smog (polluted fog) hanging over the City of New York. This smog is caused by the same thing that produces Global Warming. With this kind of pollution you can see that people need to be more knowing about what they put into the atmosphere.

The last picture shows a major way that carbon is put into the air which causes global warming.

Ice caps melting Coast getting covered with water Warmer climate Animals die because of heat Stronger storms over oceans because of heated water

On the previous picture The red line shows where the polar ice caps came to in 1979 The white shows where they are now. As you can see there is a huge difference between the two

Drive your car less( walk, carpool, or use public transportation) Keep your car in shape Buy a fuel efficient car( a Hybrid, or maybe a solar car Honda, Toyota, ect.) Take a shower not a bath Use less hot water Insulate your house to use less fuel for heating Recycle Have a compost Pile Use a close line instead of a dryer Drive carefully don’t waste gas

–These solar/hybrid cars you just saw are examples of how you can help reduce carbon being released into the atmosphere. The way these cars reduce carbon is by releasing less carbon into the air by burning little or no fossil fuels.

The last pictures are pictures of the melting Glaciers ( the tops are before and the bottoms are present)
