 My name is Mrs. Stevens.  I grew up in a small farming community outside of Grande Prairie called Teepee Creek.  As a child on our farm we had chickens, pigs and horses.  I grew up in a family that was involved in 4-H, rodeo and played all school sports.

 HIKING  ART  SEWING  READING  LAUGHING  CAMPING  HORSES, HORSES,HORSES  RODEO AND CHUCKWAGON RACING  BEING WITH FAMILY  OUTDOORS, HIKING, FISHING, HUNTING  QUADDING

 I have not always been a teacher. I used to be a florist. I worked in Grower Direct here in Grande Prairie for many years.

 I was a Educational Assistant working with children one on one and in small groups. It was during this job that I decided I wanted to be a teacher.

 I went to went to GPRC. I was in the TEN program. I have a bachelor of education.

 I moved to a small community called Driftpile First Nations.  Here I was a grade one and two teacher. It was a very interesting place to live.  I learned many new things.

 MY NEXT JOB WAS THE LAST TWO YEARS AT ST ANDREW’S SCHOOL IN HIGH PRAIRIE.  AT THIS SCHOOL I TAUGHT ART, SCIENCE 14 AND RELIGION GRADE TEN AND ELEVEN.

 ON TIME  PREPARED  TREAT YOU WITH RESPECT  FLEXIBLE TO YOUR NEEDS  EASY TO TALK TO  ALWAYS THERE WHEN YOU NEED ME

 ON TIME  PREPARED  READY AND WILLING TO WORK  COMPLETE TASKS  GOOD LISTENER  ACTIVE PARTICIPANT  TREAT MYSELF, OTHER STUDENTS AND CLASSROOM WITH RESPECT

 THERE WILL ALWAYS BE BELLWORK ON THE BOARD WHEN YOU ENTER. YOU WILL DATE THE ENTRY AND WRITE IT IN YOUR JOURNAL….  EXAMPLE.  NAME THREE THINGS FROM YESTERDAY’S LESSON THAT YOU DID NOT KNOW?  IMPORTANT THINGS WE LEARNED

 I WILL ALLOW EVERYONE THE CHANCE TO HAVE INPUT.  YOU MUST RAISE YOUR HAND AND WAIT UNTIL CALLED ON TO SPEAK.  DO NOT INTERUPT OTHERS  ASK QUESTIONS

 COME TO ATTENTION

 NOBODY MOVES  EARS TURN ON  MOUTH STOPS TALKING  EYES ON ME

 EVERYONE WILL CLEAN UP EVERY CLASS.  SOMETIMES BEING A GOOD CLASSMATE MEANS EVEN IF YOU DID NOT MESS IT YOU HAVE TO HELP CLEAN.  I MAY GIVE YOU A JOB  COOPERATION IS KEY

 IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE I WILL BE MORE THAN WILLING TO HELP ANYONE WHO ASKS.

 I DO NOT WANT TO SEE THEM.  DESKS ARE TO BE CLEARED OF WITH EXCEPTION OF JOURNAL, DUATANG OR PENCILS  I HAVE A PENCIL BOX YOU MAY BORROW FROM BUT YOU MUST RETURN MY PENCILS FOR THE NEXT DAY.
