After the war started things have been very different. Louisa and Maddie were shipped off to boarding school. Louisa and Maddie are best friends. At the boarding school they are taught responsibility, survival, and writing without computers. When she is gone she starts to not miss home. Louisa is enjoying the fresh air and survival skills classes. She dosen’t mind not having TV, internet. It’s for their own safety, after all. Or is it? Read the book to find out!
