Summary The summary for “All summer in a day” by Ray Bradbury is that everyone is located on the planet Venus at this point in time. The story is vague and people live in underground tunnels to escape the cold hard rain that lasts for seven years time except for one fateful day it comes out for one hour. The main character(s) would be Margot, a pale almost lifeless girl, William, her classmate whose name was specifically mentioned, and her classmates and teacher. The kids practically hate her because she’s so depressed and does not participate in games and such, she came to Venus at four unlike them, but most of all the fact that she could possibly go to Earth again, with all the beloved sun she could get. The sun she remembered drew her away, the sun they didn’t know of. So, after some ganging up on Margot the whole class agrees to lock in the closet on the day where the sun will come out. The teacher didn’t know and all forgot about her. After the few so time the sun was out and the rain came back the kids suddenly realized what they did and that Margot's views on the sun were right and they took her chance away from her they finally let her out the reader doesn’t know what happened afterwards.

Sci Fi Elements Takes place in the future Is on Venus Gives description of people People live underground It is raining for 7 years straight

Story Responses “This story portrays a good example of regular human nature (besides the sci fi elements) kids our age are usually friends with people like them and if there is a person separate in personality, people would usually separate them from the crowed. But when someone starts to make fun of them, others join in just to stay with the crowed and not look different. (Andrew, Michelle, Justyne, and Joseph)
