Could You Survive? By: Chloe C.

The Wilderness  How would you know what to eat and what not to eat?  Where to go and where not to go?  What lives in that den, could it be deadly?  How would you survive the wilderness?

The Animals  Would you wake up one morning and have quills in your legs?  Could you be walking through the forest at night and run into a coyote?  How would you defend yourself against animals stronger then you?  How would you survive the Dangerous animals?

A Shelter  What would you use for a shelter?  How would you know where to build it?  What would you use to cut the wood or whatever you use for your house?  How would you find/build a shelter?

The Indians  If you lived in the time of Indians, what would you think of them?  Would you be scared or not mind them at all?  How would you defend yourself against them if there was a problem? Remember they have all those weapons already.  How would you deal with the Indians?

How Matt Survived  The main character in Sign of the Beaver had to deal with all of these problems.  Although Matt had help with most of the problems, he was still alone in the wilderness for more then 6 months/half a year!  Think of all the situations Matt ran into. Could you possibly survive those, or never come close?
