WhY wHaT He/ShE dId Is ImPoRtAnT tO Ga, (NaTiOn, &/oR WoRLd): De Soto = the first European to explore Georgia His written records (and those of his men) ended the period of Prehistory in GA His expedition led to the deaths of thousands of natives in GA due not only to violence BUT MAINLY due to DISEASES the Europeans spread to the Indians. His expedition in GA was a failure for Spain because he did not find any gold or riches (he didnt find any anywhere else on his trip either)
