 Albert Lea Area Schools will be above the state average at grade level in reading, math, and science according to MCA results by the end of  Minnesota utilizes the MCAs to assess student progress towards state standards in reading, math, and science.  Albert Lea Area Schools will be above the state average on the ACT in English, Math, Reading, and Science by the end of  The ACT, a standardized test, assesses high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. The standardized test assesses high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science.
