Entrepreneurial Vision

Vision Vision is considered to be the foundation of entrepreneurship entrepreneurship If the entrepreneur has a vision and is able to surround him or herself with a stellar team that vision can come to fruition The founder’s vision without a doubt is the most important thing Everything flows from that vision

What is vision? A long term view that defines the desired or intended future state in terms of its fundamental objective and/or strategic direction Is a source of inspiration Provides clear decision-making criteria

Features of an effective vision statement include Clarity and lack of ambiguity Vivid and clear picture Description of a bright future Memorable and engaging wording Realistic aspirations Alignment with organizational values and culture

Examples of vision statements of well- known organizations Wal-Mart: "To give ordinary folk the chance to buy the same thing as rich people." 3M: "To solve unsolved problems innovatively." Walt Disney: "To make people happy."
